Default South Carolina High School League Delays Realignment Appeals Due To Legal Questions

The South Carolina High School League delayed its realignment appeals hearings for Spartanburg, Chesnee, and several other schools Tuesday after Chapin High School, which among those appealing, challenged the League’s realignment process.

SCHSL Executive Director Jerome Singleton told News Channel 7 Tuesday afternoon that the inquiry came from legal cousel hired by the school.

Singleton says that SCHSL attorneys will now review the process to determine if any irregularities took place.

He hopes to have an answer on how to proceed within a couple of weeks.

Spartanburg and Chesnee are among schools that will continue to wait on the SCHSL realignment appeals process.
