Louisiana will soon will consider a bill that would prohibit clinics at law schools that receive government funding from suing a government agency or seeking money damages from an individual or business.
![]() There seem to be two views of law-school clinics, from a social-utility point of view. One is that they’re well-funded justice-seekers, organizations that can right wrongs in ignored, neglected, overlooked pockets of society. (Plus, nothing wrong with giving 2Ls and 3Ls a little taste of real-life practice prior to graduation.) The other view is that they’re made up of liberal rabble-rousers who take state funding and then turn around and wreak havoc on state taxpayers and companies. More... Too Much Green Wave?
