WCSL differs from other traditional law schools in that we require no classroom attendance. All courses of study are of a self-study nature - correspondence.

However, students use the same course books that are used at traditional residence law schools throughout the country. Students do not use any of their valuable time either commuting back and forth to classes (usually 3 to 4 times per week) or in classroom attendance (12 to 15 hours per week).

The Dean of WCLS is David Stallings, a Licensed Attorney, who obtained his degree and passed the Bar Examination by correspondence himself. He purchased the books, read them and never attended any live lectures yet he passed the Bar on the first attempt. He knows it can be done. His role model was Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president. Mr. Lincoln studied law using the self-study method, working his day job, when he had one, and read law books by night. Adams, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, Jackson, Van Buren, Tyler, Polk, Fillmore, Pierce, Buchanan, Lincoln, Garfield, Arthur, Cleveland, Benjamin Harrison, Harding and Coolidge all read the law.

The faculty is dedicated to the success of each and every student.
