Default New England College School of Law to Host Supreme Court Talk

Western New England College School of Law will host its 14th annual Supreme Court Review on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Room A of the Blake Law Center. The event is free and open to the public.

The seminar will explore recent changes in the makeup of the court with the departure of Justice David Souter and the arrival of Justice Sonia Sotomayor. Panelists will also discuss important Supreme Court cases decided during the 2008-2009 term, including cases involving freedom of speech, affirmative action, criminal justice, and strip searches.

Panelists include Western New England College School of Law professors Erin Buzuvis, Leora Harpaz, Art Leavens and Bruce Miller. The event is sponsored by the School of Law's Institute for Legislative and Governmental Affairs.
