But if a major term is missing from the contract, it may make it void or voidable.
Have counsel review it closely.

Your verbal agreement is unenforceable as contracts for the sale of real estate have to be in writing.

What you get to do now is hire a lawyer to review the contract and properly advise you.

That's probably going to cost you a lot more than it would have cost you to have a lawyer write up the contract in the first place.

Land contract and buyer not putting in his name

I have a land contract that I am the seller. It was drawn up and written by me and the buyer. I. The contract no time limit was given for the buyer to put in his name. We had a verbal agreeing for one year, it's now been over 3 and no steps have been made by the buyer to finance. Is there anyway we can void, or force their hand to make them do it?

We are in WV.
