It depends on the levels of appellate court and the actions taken by the defense side. So it may take months or years.

Well it IS about 6 to 24 months usually. I agree with that post.
And that info may help some people to decide if it is worth the time and money.

The appeal certainly is not a 2 week issue.

Do you have an attorney? And has your attorney filed an appeal?

If your attorney has filed an appeal, call him/her to get the update on case.

You can also call the courts clerk and see what date you are on the docket.

I wish to inform you that the time frame depends upon your State and whether you are able to get final relief in the Appellate Court, Court of Appeals or the Supreme Court. You may contact an attorney and seek guidance in the matter.
