Default Does a caution sign mean they are not liable?

I fell at a store in Atlanta GA and sprained my wrist badly on Friday morning. They had a sign up saying "caution wet floor".

But I had to cross the wet area to get through check out.

Does that sign mean they are excused from liability?

I have a doctor's appointment Monday, if that matters at all.

Yes, they could very well be excused from liability based on the warning sign.

People walk on wet floors all the time and don't fall down when they know it's wet and pay extra attention to what they are doing.

I suggest you make a claim anyway just in case there may be some "go-away" money available.

Or consult with a personal injury attorney to find out specifically. Those types of consultations are usually free and may even be available over the phone.

I don't think it excuses them 100% and other factors could be involved, e.g. grease and water on the floor that make it impossible to safely walk even if with a warning.
It is worth seeing a few PI lawyers but don't expect to strike gold on this matter.

It is definitely not a cure all.
We were sued in our dental office for a slip and fall and had the slippery floor clearly marked and warned. It settled but still was highly irritating.

Even though there was a warning sign you have the option to sue them or not. You are required to prove that you take utter care while walking through the wet floor but the floor was too wet than expected in a public place.

If you have your own health insurance, I would use that and frankly you re not going to get too much more for a simple slip and fall.

If it is simply a checkup appointment and a prescription, with maybe a followup, they will likely pay it. If you are trying to get money for yourself, you have an uphill battle even with an attorney you could end up on the short end of the stick possibly.
