Default What to do to avoid sexual harassment in workplace?

I have seen one case in my office, where my friend accused the manager of asking sexual favors for promotion. She was in a bad state, as she needed the job badly to clear out her monthly bills. For some time she remained quiet, but after some time she shared the problem with me.

I took her to a sexual harassment lawyer in Los Angeles, who helped her with the case and told us about the following steps to stop this conduct:

1. Warn the harasser

You may talk to them and say you’re not into this and the person must stop doing the offensive conduct. If the person doesn’t stop, you have to put the harassers on notice.

2. Complaint procedures

You may complain about the offensive conduct at your Human Resources Department. Some companies have detailed procedures for handling sexual harassment complaints.

3. File a charge

If nothing is working or no one is really helping you, consult a sexual harassment lawyer Los Angeles and file a charge against the harasser.

What do you think Is it right?

I think it would be right for you to stop posting this nonsense. If you have a legal question please post it. Otherwise feel free to rant on Twitter or Facebook.
