Plaintiff firms are fighting back against BP's effort to consolidate oil-spill lawsuits in Houston
BP hasn’t yet figured out how to plug the leak still spilling oil into the Gulf of Mexico. But that hasn’t stopped the company’s lawyers from trying to throw a wrench into the plans of plaintiffs lawyers who’ve flooded the federal court in New Orleans with lawsuits.
The London-based oil company wants the more than 70 lawsuits over the Gulf of Mexico oil spill to be centralized in Houston, before federal District Judge Lynn Hughes.
