Default City police issue

State: Kentucky

My vehicle was parked it had a flat tire and the city police had it towed in and I went to get it and they want release it because they say my mom in law wants it out of her name first and it's in mine and her name and she can't be taken off the title while still being financed! Her brother is a city cop where they towed my car! I have contacted many lawyers and nobody understands how they can do that! I have them on audio saying I can't get it back until her name is off the title and I have text where she has sent me! Is there anything I can do? Because I feel like I am being harassed because her family works at the police department! I would appreciate some advice! This has made me loose my job and costed my son his basketball season! Thanks so much any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I wish to inform you that you may take action against police official involved in harassing you. You may file a complaint against police official with Professional Standards Unit (PSU). You may also file a complaint with State Attorney General regarding violation of your rights. Lastly you may seek a court order regarding having back your car from police possession.

There may not be such a thing outside of Louisville. You don't know much about the US do you?

Then speak to one of the "many" lawyers you have contacted.

It is good to approach court for a release order of vehicle from police custody for unwanted reason. It is good to consult a lawyer in this regard.

She can be taken off the title if you refinance the car or get any lender or owner to approve her being taken off the title.

So the title is in her name, so it is her car as far as they are concerned. Get the title changed and redeem it.

Thumbs up Re: City police issue

Firstly pile up all evidence that you are the servient of that vehicle and you‘re a recipient of things which obviously you have, you should take serious action against it no one can harassed through this kind of locomotion, concern with another lawyers & attorneys but with all proof you also need to search more information about this case and try hard. Nobody can snatch our rights like this.
