Default Chinese airline won’t redeem my miles

Hi,

A very famous Chinese airline won’t redeem my miles after 2 huge round-trip continental flight just because (they say) ‘I didn’t create my online miles account before flying’.

They keep replying it’s ‘in the policy’, but those rules are not even in their terms & conditions or website.
Aside of the fact I never had to do that with other major airlines I feel they’re coming up with rules as they go.

Does our case hold water?

I wish to inform you that you may file a complaint with Air Transportation Department of CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China), CAAC regional administrations, CAAC Consumer Affairs Center and China Air Transport Association (CATA). Alternatively, you may contact an attorney and seek guidance.

In this regard you should consult a lawyer experienced in aviation law and can seek whether your dispute has any legal standing by perusing their policy

I would check those terms of service carefully, it's quite common for the airlines to have that policy that you must be a member and record your flight before you fly, and that you can't get miles after.
