Default can anyone help me... they took my absence into account and disciplined me

i hurt myself at work , it was recorded in accident book , my doctor gave me medication and signed me off , i kept them informed , they took this absence into account and disciplined me are they allowed to do this ?

The employer's actions were unfair. But unless you are union, they can get away with it. If you have sick leave, the absence should be treated as sick leave, especially since you have a doctor's note that you were indeed ill.
