Commuter green card (at US/Canada border)

    Buffalo, NY., Hi there,

    1. Can I change my Green Card to Commuter at US/Canada border at Buffalo.
    or
    2. Do I need to Apply with Immigration (form I90) & wait in USA to get my commuter card before moving to Canada.

I will really appreciate your feed back also if some who has commuter green card can contact me.

    Thanks

I wish to inform you that if you have taken commuter status then you can e-file Form I-90 as you are a Green Card holder and intends to change to a commuter status.

      Hi, Thanks for your reply.

So I can e file after I moved to Canada?

Also my wife US green card holder will be living with me in Canada & not working since I will be with commuter green card, does she need to apply for any permission or joint application with me?

      I appreciate your answer.

Hello - did the commuter green card work out for you and your wife?
I am in the same situation, would appreciate any advice.
