Default The judge in my small claims court case refused to let me speak

The judge in my small claims court case refused to let me speak after about 30 seconds.
He said he would decide the case based on the papers.
But I did not include everything that I wanted in the papers.

Is this some kind of error or something that I can appeal from? Is it legal to prevent me from speaking for at least a few minutes? I was outraged.

What state?

Are you the plaintiff or defendant?

What is the lawsuit about and for how much money?

What papers?

What did you leave out?

What did the other side present?

I wish to inform you that if the decision is not favorable to you then you may file a Notice to Vacate Judgment and Declaration. A copy of the Form may be downloaded from the Court Website online or obtained from the Office of Clerk of Court. If needed, you may seek guidance from an attorney or read the Guide for Pro se litigants provided on the Court Website.

Judges have a LOT of discretion and he may have felt he had heard enough from both of you.
Or there may be something in the docs that requires him to decide one way or another.

It is very possible the judge's actions were perfectly proper and legal.

So consider all the possibilities before you conclude he did something wrong.

You are required to include all your claims in the paper submitted before the court. As part of providing speedy remedy courts avoid hearing and relied on the papers submitted before it.

Look at your courts rules on an appeal. It usually lists a time you must do so in.

You would have to argue that the judge effectively denied you any reasonable opportunity to present your case.
It would not be an easy thing to prove in my opinion.

Welcome the courts.
My judge did the same, I could hardly utter 4 words when he shut me down.
He claims he already read the material and decided.

So?

What good does that comment do on a two month old thread?
