Default Fake business documents and possible fraud charges

South Africa

I have been offered to open a business however the guy that offered me the opportunity told me that he take care of all business registrations but the registration documents used were fake , the business did not matterialise
Im being accused of fraud
Wat type of legal do I need personal or business cover
Alternatively what should I do?

If you are being accused of a crime get yourself an attorney.

It depends who is accusing you? If it is the government based on some criminal law violation, then you may want a criminal law lawyer. If it is other business partners or customers then you may want an experienced business law lawyer, at least to start.

And save all your records and emails so you can show that you were acting in good faith and it was the other person that provided the false or misleading information.
