Default Separating the brother and sister?

My soon to be ex wants to separate our 6 and 7 yr old kids and he will take our son.

Isnt that illegal or something at that age.

I can't imagine a judge would ever allow that--would they?

I wish to inform you that court considers best interest of child as main consideration. If a parent intends to keep just one child then it may be argued that provision for contact between siblings and parents with both the children should be made as otherwise interest of child may be affected.

I don't think too many judges would find this an appealing option.
I had a custody fight a few years back.

Even most parents don't want to split up the kids for no reason.

There's got to be a better way.
