I am now working for a tech company in LA and last week the entire line managers globally received an email from a Zoheb Khot
External Legal Agency – TAHSEEL with the following email:

"Subject: You’re employee *****
Nationality: ******
Passport # *******
DOB: ******

We are acting on behalf of our client Emirates NBD Bank PJSC who has instructed/authorized us to recover from your employee Mr. ***** the entire amount in settlement of his dues.

We seek your assistance in recovering the outstanding amount lawfully due and request you to kindly verify with the details provided and reply back to us with confirmation of the details. We request you for maintaining of confidentiality, as we do not intend to harm your firm’s or any employee’s reputation.

If the details are correctly verified, please provide us with his contact number, personal email address, duty time and location, residence address and contact numbers, which could be of help to us in reaching him.

We look forward to receiving your positive response and cooperation in this regard."

I was contacted and informed by my manager about this email. If you notice, they also mentioned my private and confidential information (Passport number) on the email which has been shared with the entire team of line managers. Can you kindly advise as to what steps can I take to remedy this? I know this is harassment and in violation of the FDCPA, Section 805(c) — “Ceasing Collection Calls and Communication”.

Can you please advise as to what steps I need to take to fix this issue? Should I send a stern email directly to this agent and then contact the bank?

Did any of your bosses respond to the email? I got the same exact email from this agency and has emailed multiple people I know. I’m also based in the US

**** balls man, how did they find you? This is a breach of privacy because they are not supposed to share such info. I am surprised they are going to this much effort to find you for AED 15K...

They can not go further for those two reasons since they follow US banking laws. Now the Interpol threats have started again from the banks. What should I do?
Did you provide your SSN when you applied for a loan in the UAE? Sorry I’m confused. I am also here in the US left Dubai in 08 and being harassed by these agencies
