Default Michigan ranked fourth-highest for drug use

The only places that were worse were Washington, D.C., Missouri and New Hampshire.

In recognition of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s National Prevention Week, WalletHub released its 2018 report on U.S. states with the biggest drug problems on Monday, May 14.

The report, which ranked states based on 20 metrics, ranked Michigan as having the fourth-worst drug problems of the 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. WalletHub is a personal finance group based in Washington, D.C.
