I wish to inform you that Article 194, 195 read with article 201 and 202 provides that payment of child support amount depends upon means of person responsible for paying amount and expenses or requirement of child to whom child support payment has to be made. Child support amount is determined in proportion to the resources or means of the giver and the necessities of the recipient.

As per the law the financial aid to a child is proportional to the financial capacity of the supporting parent. So you can demand financial support proportionate to the father’s income.

It is basically related to the financial capacity of the parent and according to the financial requirement of the child.

In this regard you should move the court to obtain an order demanding support from the father. If the Court passes such an order, the father of the child is obliged to obey the order otherwise it will amount to contempt of court.
