I wish to inform you that speeding ticket record may remain there on the record. Your points may be reduced if you enroll in and successfully complete one of the state-approved traffic school courses.

I have two now but will a third ticket always be a third offense or do they drop off at some point? I can't seem to find a definitive answer.

Don't get any more tickets and you won't have to worry about that.

However, if you are talking about insurance rates, insurance companies traditionally get 5 year driving records and surcharge 3 years for minor violations and 5 years for major violations. Your insurance may do it differently so check with them.

WRONG.

Defensive driving courses do not eliminate points or convictions. Please stick to things you know about.

After many years. Probably close to 10.

The definitive answer is that the three speeds must be within 18 months of each other (dates of violation NOT conviction) in order for your license to get revoked.

Almost everything, including the Driver Responsibility Assessment, uses the rolling 18-month window.
