No specific regulations that I am aware of, on the amount of time. But obviously the medical staff must attend to each emergency in the order they see as most important and must use reasonable care and speed.

It depends on the facts and circumstances. Keep in mind, generally, there has to be some sort of harm or injury (physical, financial, or otherwise) for you to have an actual personal injury case.

Well last night I was in ER waiting for 3 hrs which I think is way past what should be normal ER care. ERs charge everybody a fortune but it seems the patients are treating like numbers.
If you don't have a big expensive insurance policy, good luck.

If you waited 3 hours you shouldn’t have gone to the ER. They take patients by triage - sickest first. Your insurance is irrelevant then. Clearly if you could be left for 3 hours you weren’t that sick.

Next time try one of those corner ERs or get an appt with your doctor.
