This can be handled by a lawyer and most probably the insurance will cover all the damages. Single lawyer can represent both of you.

IMMEDIATELY turn it over to the insurance company you had on the date of the accident.

I agree 100% that you should take no action until you meet with the insurer and confirm what they will be doing if anything.

I have never seen a divorce where the parties are completely aligned on every issue.

Using one lawyer is not a good idea!

I often wonder if it's worth the effort to make comments to airheads.

Probably not, but it did make ME feel better for five minutes.

Does the insurer usually hire one lawyer for both the husband and the wife?

It would seem like a waste of time and money to do otherwise?
And in the case of my wife it would possibly inflame the situation I believe. And create possible conflicts where none really exist.

Talk about a waste of time. You've added to a 9 month old thread. How about "thinking" before you post.

You can discuss it with the insurer and the suggested legal counsel involved.
In a case involving my brother and his wife, they did have just one lawyer and the insurer paid all fees.

Yes, a single lawyer can present it but its belong two cases. one is divorce and second is an accident.

You need to consult your case with senior lawyers who help you.
