I wish to inform you that there are different methods while treatment of paid sick leave. In this regard in accrual method employees will accrue one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked. Further in case of lump sum method employer may chooses to offer sick leave as a lump sum. In this employer may offer employees to receive three days or 24 hours up front at the beginning of employment and each year after that. In this employee receives full amount even if number of hours worked is less.

It depends on your employer. It could be zero.

Of course if it is zero, nobody would work there.

Check your employee handbook or company manual.
All companies have a sick leave policy.
And once they put it in the manual, they basically are bound by it.
