Non parent gets pulled over while driving with an infant

If a non parent gets pulled over while driving with an infant and that non parent is barred from driving, will the police call the parents first to come get the baby or do they have the right to take the baby to some kind of protective care? The situation has not happened just was inquiring in case it did.

    Yes, they absolutely do.

And they will more than likely call child protective services to the scene before wasting their time trying to contact people who were stupid enough to let somebody drive their baby around who is "barred from driving."
