    Florida

Our local community pool association nonprofit fired its entire management team but never gave notice to all of us that have contributed over the last few tears.

Is that legal to handle that in that way?

I wish to inform you that articles of non profit may determine as to how board may be removed. In this regard generally members may be allowed to remove board. You may seek information as to right of donors based upon article or bylaws under which nonprofit is created.

It depends on the contract between the management and the association. Normally it requires sufficient notice period showing valid reason. It is good to consult a lawyer in this regard.

Depends on what powers the "board" was given in the first place.

You can determine that by studying your community association documents.

New officers and Board members also have to be appointed or elected, so see the corporate charter and by laws as to how that must be done.
There is a procedure that has to be followed.

            Who replaced the management team?
They should also be able to explain to you exactly what happened.
The exact same thing happened at our apartment building by the way.
It was a bit unsettling for all of us living there and not knowing what was going on.

If a NP Board is dismissed or resigns in total in Florida, how soon must the new Board election occur?
