Default Student barred by DUI

My daughter is planning on studying in Maindenhead England in January 2018 through her American university. She is an education major and the course requires her to observe in a secondary school.

She has DWI that appeared on her background check and she is now being told she cannot participate. How do we appeal this decision? Thank you in advance.

Gee, my common sense tells me that you either look in the university catalog for the appeal process or you call up whoever decided that the DWI was an issue and ask what the appeal process is.

I really doubt the "university catalogue" is going to be addressing issues like this, c'mon.

Any other brilliant ideas?

First you need to inquire whether the appeal serves the purpose. If the University does not allow a person with DWI background to participate, how can you challenge it in an appeal? The admission is up to the discretion of the University. It is also good to consult a lawyer in this regard.

Any criminal conviction will bar you from most college study abroad programs unfortunately.
