Daughter in contempt of court for "talking over" the judge

    Arizona.
My daughter was held in contempt of court last Friday for "talking over" the judge. I guess she interrupted him two or three times and by the third time he had had enough he said.

What does this contempt mean actually? What is going to happen to her?
I am worried sick about this but don't have any other information.

    Ask her.

Presumably the judge said something like "I find you in contempt. You're punishment is _______________."

Well at least she is not in jail at this point.
Most likely he set some small fine or he is going to do so shortly or at the next hearing. If it were a worst case scenario he would have sent her to the jail right then and there, for a few days.

In this case your daughter may be fined or may get a warning, but nothing more than that. This is not a serious contempt case.

            Talking over the judge?
            Not good.
She's lucky if she did not go to jail.
