Your situation is very confusing as the police only gave you option to settle with the bank and not oay the fine. You may need a lawyer who can assist you in this kind of situation.

How long did you stay in jail before you pay the fine? Did they lessen the amount of fine while you are in jail? I think if you issue them another check they can file another case on you.

Thanks so much for the clarification. As some of us thought that the court will not allow you to pay the fine once you are already in jail.
