Are police legally allowed to tase a 16 year old in NY for "acting up".
The officer said he would do so just because the kids were filming the traffic stop and they would not back up quickly enough.
The officer really seemed ready to fire on the video.

The parent, not that it matters as to the answer to my inquiry.
I would like to know the law or guidelines in NY on this issue.

There is no law or guidelines other than Article 35 of the New York State Penal Law regarding the use of force.

Unless you were there you don't really know what happened.
