Default Promise to pay after job already done for free

I've set up a learning center and asked my friend to be my education consultant. After she did the job, I promise to pay for her.
Will I breach the contract with her if I do not pay for her based on her saying that the job was not really a big deal, and she did it for free originally?

I wish to inform you that oral or verbal contracts are legal contracts under law, however, the terms of the contract are more difficult to prove. If the final agreement between the parties was that you would pay her after she performed the job then not paying may amount to a breach of contract. You may contact an attorney and seek guidance in the matter.

She can contest you for breach of contract if she can produce witness regarding your verbal agreement.
