Default Neighbor Dispute... Do I Need an Attorney?

Ok,so long story short. My neighbor and I hate each other. Its been a battle for 4 out of the 5 years that I have been here. She harrasses my children, as well as my fiancee and I.

We recently got into a verbal altercation which led the detective of our city to send her a citation for disorderly conduct. I was informed that this is her 4th disorderly conduct which happened with the people who previously owned my home. Needless to say, she has a history, and I have a clean record.

I received a court order in the mail, which wasn't a surprise but she has an attorney.

It says the plaintiff is the city that I live in...and the defendant is my neighbor. I am just the witness/victim.

Do I need an attorney?

I wish to inform you that as a witness, you may not have a lawyer present at the testimony. However, if you feel a question may incriminate you, you have the right to speak with your lawyer before testifying and also have a constitutional right to refuse to answer. You may respond to all other questions truthfully.

What kind of order?

To appear in court?
A deposition?

A witness and a victim are two different things in some situations.
Is the plaintiff another person that had trouble with the defendant?

As a witness you are not required to engage an attorney for you. Only thing you have to do is to attend the court date and answer all the questions carefully to the court upon your knowledge.
