Does Texas have a one smack rule (one hit)?

Does Texas have a one smack rule that allows a spouse to smack the other one time?

That sounds ridiculous to me but somebody told me it exists.

If a spouse pushed another and the pushed person falls, can that be prosecuted as a practical matter? At what point does the law really intervene between spouses?

Assault and battery is assault and battery. Period.

The law intervenes when the victim calls the police.

Bottom line, don't smack your spouse, don't push your spouse, don't even yell at your spouse.

You've never yelled at your spouse?
How is that possible for anybody to avoid.

Smack amounts to physical harassment and that may invite penal charges upon you.
