Default Is there any restriction on divorcing if both parties are 84?

Is there any restriction on divorcing if both parties are 84, and have been married for over 50 years?

I think my grandparents are crazy to do this now.

No restrictions. People can be miserable with each other at any age and divorce at any age.

Up to them.

I wish to inform you that divorcing later in life is a growing trend in Texas. As couples seek to part ways late in life, they need to be aware of the additional layers of complexities they face - social, financial, etc. Your grand parents may meet a counselor in a bid to resolve their problems and avoid divorce. Alternatively, they may meet an attorney and seek guidance.

There is no age restriction for filing divorce case, so they can file divorce at this age.

The only real possible factor that might cause an issue is mental capacity.
