I think my cancer doctor cut way too much when trying to remove my cancer.
And now (finally) a neighbor tells me of a similar terrible tale with her husband. What legally can I do to see if this really all correct? I am confused and concerned. |

You first need a second opinion.
Depending on the type of cancer and location it can often be necessary to remove non cancerous tissue from the edges. Also review the informed consent you signed prior to the procedure. |

In this regard you should collect all the reports from the Doctor who treated your disease and try to consult another doctor by detailing your concerns. If it was diagnosed that removal was beyond the necessity you can file a case for damages.
