That depends upon what STATE is involved, but even then every court is different. Just because your trial is scheduled at a certain time doesn't mean it will happen at that time. It could be an all-day event.

My case just fyi with 3 witnesses lasted about 70 minutes.

The judge ruled that I received a reduced fine and penalty.

But I agree it can vary AND there is no guarantee you will start on time either. Especially if other matters are on the schedule before you.

It depends on the case and you are liable to appear before the court if you got a notice to addend the trial.

My speeding ticket hearing with the judge lasted 4 and a half hours so they arent all done in an hour.

In our small town the judge has a 90 minute limit on all traffic ticket cases. No matter how many witnesses or exhibits.

If there is only the driver and the officer, the matter will normally not take over an hour.
If many witnesses have to appear for some reason, it will certainly NOT be done in an hour.
Check with the clerk of court too, if possible, to see how much time the judge has set for the matter. Usually the judges set a schedule for the hearings and cases that occur each day.

Mostly this is up for a day! you should cancel or take a leave because it surely won't take for an hour on the said session.
