Default Can children (age 10) be held for parents debt

If parents have an outstanding debt in Dubai, UAE, no longer live in the country and apparently have a police case against them, can their 10 year old son, who has his own passport, travel to Dubai on holiday with a friends family?

Would he be sopped at the airport as he entered the country, even though he is a minor (under 16)? Could the immigration or police hold him as he is there with people who are not his parents and the authorities demand that the parents come to collect him, thus getting them back in the country?

Any guidance on this matter would be of great help, as this boy has the opportunity of a lifetime that the parents can no longer provide but a decision has to be made almost immediately as to whether to let him go or not.

The case for an outstanding debt is a cheque dishonor case and none other than the person who had signed the cheque will be held, arrested, questioned or held responsible ever. Not even your spouse, parents or any kind of blood relation. Only the one who signed the cheque is liable to the case.

No one other than the person signed for the credit will be arrested for outstanding debt. So your son can travel to UAE without fear of arrest.
