Default I was going to co-rent a house with someone

I was going to co-rent a house with someone I didnt know ---we had both liked it and said we where interested-- they went without me and got the lease printed up and started acting strange so I no longer want to sign the lease and when I told nm them I didnt want to they said they where going to sue me ----can they do that if I never signed anything?

If you never signed anything at all, walk away. Contracts relating to real estate must be in writing.

Anybody can sue anybody for anything. And anybody can threaten to sue which is normally hot air.

I don't think you need to lose any sleep over this.

But remember this experience next time you consider a roommate. Roommate arrangements often turn to poison.
