Default Defective face mask, online order

I ordered a mask online (with 4 replaceable filters) from a guy in Colorado, but it is defective and ripped on arrival.
What can I do?
I paid 48 dollars.
I think it was a just a pure ripoff.
He wont respond now.

I wish to inform you that you may first give a notice to the person that face mask must be replaced as defective face mask is supplied or alternatively your payment must be refunded. If supplier does not agree then you may file a complaint online at Internet Crime Complaint Center - IC3.

File a complaint with his state attorney general's office AND sue him in small claims.

The AG's are anxious right now to go after anybody preying on coronavirus victims or fears.

Those are two other options in addition to affa's suggestion.

If you paid by credit card, seek a chargeback.

Always try to buy from standard online shopping web.
They will surely come back to you, if product is defective.
This process will take time, but you will get your result.
So better, Try to buy from standard Online shopping web.
last option is to file a consumer complaint. The Federal Trade Commission encourages consumers to file a complaint whenever they have been the victim of fraud, identity theft, or other unfair or deceptive business practices. They can do it online, or by calling the FTC’s Consumer Response Center at 1-877-FTC-HELP (1-877-382-4357).

Buying masks these days risks LOTS of scams.
Don't buy from sellers that are not 100% vetted one way or another.
