Why is Comey giving interviews and opining on the fitness of the President of the USA?

Is that his job? Is that legal and proper?

Isn't this outrageous and maybe even illegal for a fired FBI former head to do?

What other national secrets--in his opinion--can he sell in his sordid books?

I also do not understand how an FBI person can then leave the FBI and talk in any way about investigations and inside information? Surely that must be prohibited even in their employment agreements?

It doesn't have to be classified. He shouldn't even be talking about the job in this silly gossip-mag way--period. It's like the National Enquirer.
It demeans the position and institution.

As far as I know he’s now just a private citizen. He can talk away.

Talk about demeaning, every third word from Trump is demeaning. He ridicules ppl, calls ppl names, lies about the most ridiculous things. Folks in other countries are laughing at us bc of him. Comey is small fries.

The head of the FBI is not a common politician.
I agree Comey should not be out doing the things he is doing. It makes the FBI look like just another political organization which it's not "supposed" to be.

I understand being fired is hard, but take your lumps and move on.

I agree 100%. Just because Trump is making a joke of everything doesn't mean everybody has to do so as well.
This Trump era will pass. And the record of history will live on and Mr. Comey shoudl remember that.

Time and history will make clear whether what he did was wrong or not.
He certainly did things differently to say the least, but then so does Trump.

With everything Trump has done I don't think the actions of any other government official could shock us today. Director Comey included. Everything seems to pale next to President Trump.
