Banks are victims of naked shorts. Shorts spread rumors after rumors but people still do not believe them. Open today 2 accounts at CitiBank to hold my gains from shorts.

banks are well capitalized...problem is that credit markets are frozen and will stay frozen until the toxic assets are taken off the books....Citi is not insolvent they and other financial institutions will can not lend so they can protect their rations and remain solvent...there is no need to nationalize any of these big banks because they are not going out of business...if the gov't want to get the economy moving they need to devise a plan to get these assets off the book or properly values.

The Europeans did it right NATIONALIZATION and the shareholders were not wipedout.

Of course the big mouth on your video site, tech ticker, say this is socialism and does not want it to happen. I'm sure he wants a piece of the new clean bank after the stockholders are wiped out and the toxic asset are removed from the old bank. I'm sure the CEO's will be taken care of also.

I don't know if you ever heard of a WHITE KNIGHT that rescues the depressed company and regains the stockholders trust, that's what NATIONALIZATION does.
