Nike REAX shoes squeak terribly when I walk

I bought NIKE REAX shoes from SportsDirect 4 months ago and they now squeak terribly when I walk. A dog even attacked my shoes due to the sound,

The store will not accept any exchange so what can I do now? This is really not right!

Nike customer service does not handle matters involving purchase from a store.
So they seem to say.

It seems legally I should have some option when the shoes only last four months and start terribly squeaking. It's really loud.

If Nike does not deal with defective products then buy another brand. It's hard to believe that they don't deal with product issues - no matter where it is actually purchased.

If you noticed the defect only after 4 months of purchase you could not raise a valid claim against Nike.

Ask the store for a refund and show the problem. Go to small claims court if it really matters to you.

BTW, some people say spraying WD-40 on the plastic part of the sole stops the squeak. Just FYI.

It seems weird they keep making this model if the squeak problem has been going on for several years, as it seems it has been.

If you really make a big issue out of it most Nike retailers will refund the shoes or replace the shoes.

I really don't like the smell when you first put it on. Can't nike find a solution for the problem? I mean they are still selling that shoe style.

Just once and it is good for about 6 to 8 months.
There is also a dry lubricant version of wd 40 you can use that is more dry but not completely dry.

The wd 40 odor goes away in an hour.

But I agree Nike should get better engineering on this model of its shoes. I really like the Reax just not the noise issue.

I am sure some customers do return the shoes to the seller.

I was hating the idea of throwing out 100 dollar 4 month old shoes.
But Nike really should fix that design issue.

If I don't want to spray the shoes can I return them -- after 3 months of use -- that's when the squeaking started.
