Can she legally close my case because of the statue of limitation?

My statute of limitation falls on today. My claim has been reported since 2 days after the incident. I am actively pursuing this claim but the adjuster from the insurance company is threatening me with this date. Can she legally close my case because of the statue of limitation? The settlement offer was too low and i told her i don't agree with it and she has not tried to negotiate anything further with me. What do I do?
