Default Psychological and mental harassment

My sister is serving in a Govt. Aided college in West Bengal in the rank of Assistant Professor and presently facing enormous mental pressure by the lady principal and her followers. The male colleague in the department when insisted to sit in a position which is offensive to her, she tried to arrange suitable sitting arrangement for herself and other colleagues (who are part time local teachers) , the group of part time teachers ransacked the Dept. The incident was reported in written immediately as per Principal's advice. Later on Principal had taken adverse position may be due to pressure from local partime teachers. From that day principal is insisting my sister to withdraw the complain letter and since my sister did not withdraw the letter she is scolding, harrasing my sister every day and finally issued a show cause letter. After issuing show cause letter she has frozen her confirmation even after completion of two years service. She is harrasing my sister with other part time male colleagues with indecent languages. Now She is presuming that a conspiracy is going on to suspend her on the ground of helping students to take unfair means during forthcoming university exam to be held on 5th May 2017. Please give me some suggestion so that she can not be suspended or harrassed in future

I wish to inform you that your sister may refer matter to law enforcement agencies. As she is being forced to withdraw complaint thus she may inform law enforcement regarding harassment. Any act on part of principal forcing your sister to withdraw complaint against sitting in a position objectionable to her may make principle liable in action. She may also report matter to West Bengal Commission for Woman for necessary assistance. If penal action like suspension is taken against her then she may even approach High Court under writ jurisdiction on the ground that college authorities are acting against victim.

Thank you very much for your kind advice. Kindly let me know how to communicate West Bengal Council for Woman. Male colleagues who happen to be part time teachers with minimum eligibility to teach in the college always harassing me as they find me taking regular classes and achieving respect and popularity from students(that has been reflected in their results of final year exam too) which is the main reason of their jealousy. Furthermore they are forced to surrender under my strong personality and sincerity. I am humbly seeking your advice whether I could sue against them.

Regards

It is good to file a police complaint against the harassment. You can also seek remedy by filing a complaint with concerned department of the University by detailing all the harassment and the suspected activity to suspend from the service.

I think a report to the university would probably solve the problem
