Default What can we do to make the judge speed up the divorce?

Texas

What can we do to make the judge speed up the divorce?

The judge in my daughters TX case is not granting the final divorce for some odd reason.
All issues are resolved and it has now been more than 3 months since all was done.

What is he doing? The clerk says the judge is very busy, ok, but all he has to do is sign the darn thing???

"WE" can't do anything. This has nothing to do with you.

Your daughter should be speaking to her attorney about it.

Sometimes it takes what it takes to get to the top of the pile.

No. The judge has to READ it first and approve of it before signing it.

WE? Yes WE?

And Yes it DOES.

We are going through this as a family.
Do you have any family--wife and kids? I would guess --almost be sure-- not.

Emotionally, yes.

Legally, no.

Your daughter's lawyer is the one who would have a better idea of the judge's timetable and he is only obliged to share that knowledge with your daughter.

You have no legal standing in the matter. You are not a party to it and you can't do a thing about how the case progresses.

You should not insist the judge to sign the divorce order in a speedy manner. There are some procedures to be followed by the judiciary before passing an order. As the case is already finalized the judge would sign the order at the earliest possible time.

Sometimes I think you post just for the sake of seeing your words in writing - because much of what you say makes no sense or simply repeats what has already been stated.
