Even at the lowest levels, law schools are somewhat competitive. A C student will have a very difficult time being accepted anywhere, and if you were accepted you would probably have difficulties with the bar exam. It may be best to pursue other opportunities.

I can tell you tip number one!

Get a 3.8 to 4.0 grade point at a good university.

That is the number one first requirement!

I'm not so sure.
Unlike say medical schools, the very lowest law schools are fairly easy to get into. Whether one gets a job after may be another question.

I personally believe its time to start closing some law schools and start raising the standards nationwide.

Not to close the field to people. Anybody can still work in the law field (e.g. as a legal assistant) but the title of attorney should be for the select few.

Politically it is VERY hard to close a school once it is opened.

I have lots of friends that had grades well below 3.8 and they eventually did get into law school. Not a top ten or twenty school, but they did get in.
