Default Divorce lawyer payment plans

TEXAS

Hi

Do divorce attorneys take payment plans spread out over say 5 years or so?

Or is that unlikely, or not really the custom?
I certainly cannot afford to give someone 5000 dollars upfront in cash.

I wish to inform you that you may contact the lawyer referral department of the local court having jurisdiction over you with a request for divorce lawyer with payment plans. They will guide you. They may even arrange a low cost initial meeting with an attorney to discuss your case. Otherwise, you may research online and contact the attorneys direct who offer a payment plan.

Snowball's chance in you know where. But you can try to borrow from a bank and pay it off in 5 years.

Or you can do it yourself. Texas courts have forms and instructions on their websites. If your court doesn't, you can check the larger counties' court websites.
