My aunt who is British received a ticket in Miami for driving 55 mph in a 30 zone.
She never paid it and it has been 4 years and now they called her to court? She cannot afford to go to Miami so now what can she do? Thank you!!! |

Many states let you have a trial by mail (or sometimes even telephone), where you are not required to be physically present within the courtroom to defend your case. Communicate your hardship with the court and it may grant you an alternate option. You may be able to pay the fine online.
