Default Time frame for medical malpractice case

If a medical malpractice case does have to go to trail, what is the normal time frame from start to finish for such kind of cases in the US?

Like months, one year or several years?

It can be years. A trial isn't always the conclusion as many settle. If it's not a big issue you may be better off writing a demand letter on your own. Remember the lawyers typically get 40% of any award.

It depends on the nature of the case. If the case is complex it will take a long time, may be more than a year. If you are not ready to wait for a long time you can opt for out of court settlement.
