Default 6 months for DV in Ohio

Our sister's ex is serving 6 mos for domestic abuse in Ohio.
Is there any chance such a person would be let out due to covid?
That would be disastrous.

Are DV convictions exempted?

I wish to inform you that Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has recently stated while releasing 105 prisoners that none of the released prisoner is held guilty for domestic violence. Hence if your sisters ex is released then your sister may object to such a release on the ground that he is convicted for domestic violence.

Oh that's interesting.
I wonder if that is the way it is in all states now?
