Default Domestic violence claim for daily intoxication

Can an abuse claim or dv claim be filed with the police if the husband is intoxicated ever night and disturbing everybody's lives, but no actual physical violence, at least not yet?

If not is there anything else that can be done short of just packing up and leaving, which is not easy in my circumstances.
Thank you.

It appears that your husband's act amounts to nuisance.
A private nuisance is a civil wrong that affects a single individual or a definite number of persons in the enjoyment of some private right which is not common to the public. A person injured from private nuisance can make a claim for either damages or injunctive relief or for both.
Disturbing the peace, also known as breach of the peace, is a criminal offense that occurs when a person engages in some form of unruly public behavior. Contact your local authorities for relief.

Keep good records of all that is going on.
When he crosses the line--which he will--then file in court or with the police.

You can file a report but the police aren't likely to do anything, if they even take it at all.

If you aren't willing and able to leave a hopeless drunk, that's your problem.
